Active Directory Certificate Services Installation & Usage

It is feature of Microsoft Window Server 2003,2008 R1 & R2. Which is used to enable SSL on the Websites. Active Directory Certificate server provide customized services for issuing managing publicly key cetificate used in security that employ public key technology.

Q> How to install Active Directory Certificate Services ?

Click Start / Administrative Tolls / Server Manager

Now right click on Roles and select Add Roles

Now hit next button

Select first option Active Directory Certificate Services & hit next

Read instructions carefully and hit next to proceed 

Select both check box and hit next 

Dont change anything in this option and click on next

Select Root CA and click on next button

Select first option create a private key

Select MD5 as given in above picture and check the check box hit next now

Now simply hit next to proceed 

You can change validation also & hit next button

You can change path but you don't change path and click next 

Click next before that read instruction on web server IIS

In role services you can select roles according your site and hit next

Now click on Install button your installation will be proceed 

Now at last option close the wizard your ADCS installed successfully  

First you have to make domain certificate follow these steps as given bellow :-

1. Go to start / Administrative tools 
2. And select IIS (internet Information Services)
3. Now select your local server e.g -- main. Hotmail.com.
4. Now from the right hand side select server certificate.
5. New page will open now from the last right hand side panel select create domain certificate.
6. Now type all information and fill all needed and now hit next.
7. You have to select a certify name and select it and now hit next Finish.

 After that go to your site and choice SSL from right side and check the check box required SSL and click on accept option and now from last right hand side select apply option.Yor website will open in Https now e.g --https://royalhacknotes.com
