What is window defender?
Window defender is anty spyware software that is included in
window & run automatically when it turns on this will helps to protect your
computer against spyware or other potentially unwanted software.
To open window defender the start search program and files type window defender
and press enter.
What is Bit locker drive?
Bit locker drive encryption help's to prevent unauthorized access
to any file store in the computer drive. To open bit locker type on start search
option and type bit locker ,hit enter .you can on bit locker to any drive in
this option or another simple way to use bit locker on any drive e.g. E,D drives
.
Open computer and select a drive you want to use bit locker
on it and now right click on that drive, select turn on bit locker to enable it
so 3 option will flash on your computer.
1> Option to use password.
2> Smart card option.
3> Automatically on.
so you have to choose 1st option and type your password to protect
your drive ,retype and click on next .we have not select another 2 option
because we don’t have device of smart card authentication it's only used in
companies and device is very costly . And we have not selected third option
because it will not secure your drive anyone can simple access that drive so
select 1st option only.
After clicking next you will find another 3 options are:-
1> Save the recovery
key to an usb flash drive.
2> Save the recovery
to a file.
3> Print the recovery
key.
so select according to you like but i will prefer to use 2nd
option save the recovery to a file .after clicking on it you have to select any
drive to save that data .After saving it will process encryption of data for a
minutes after that close it and restart your computer. You can see big lock on
your drive which you have selected to protect with password .And now click on
that drive it will ask for password which you have used .write password and
open it .And by chance if you forgot your password just copy last key from the
data which you have saved at time of enabling bit locker.Ok past the last key
only from saved text file data in place of your password .and hit enter it will
open.
And if you want to turn off your bit locker just
simply go to start and search for bit locker and select manage bit locker and
click on off the bit locker from your drive which you have selected it will
simply decrypt your drive and after all process close and restart your device .
NOTE:-*Don’t turn of program or
computer while encrypting drive.
*Don’t save your encrypting txt data file in drive which
you
are going to lock.
*Don’t change data text file name.
*The drive will ask password only one time when you turn
On your pc.
