Installing IIS 7.0 & Creating Web sites in Window Server 2008 R2

Q) What is IIS 7.0 ?
--> IIS (Internet Information Service which is used to provide web services in the Network & it is a feature of 200, 2003 & 2008 . In window server 2008 it's version is 7.0 by default it works HTTP (hyper text transfer protocol) .Which is used to display web pages and it work in 443 no port.


                                   INSTALLATION REQUIREMENT  

1. You should have Administrative rights to install IIS 7.0.
2. Window Server 2008 
3. Valid name to website.
4. DNS support must be required if you want to configure virtually. 
5. Your domain name must be registered if you want to publish your website over the internet.
6. If you are working as a Administrator in company's you should have firewall.

                               HOW TO INSTALL IIS 7.0

1. Log in as administrator on window server 2008 computer.
2. Configure TCP/IP according to your practical requirement.
3. And open server manager & select role container & add roles.
4. Install webserver.

 Q) What is Website ?

--> Website is the collection of the webpage's those are integrated by using hyperlink's & programmed multiple called by using special code & character's. 


Q) What is Web pages ?   
--> Webs pages are the combination of code & character always save in HTML format we can create different type's of webpage's by using different types of language's those are support by IIS 7.0. e.g. -- HTML , PHP etc .


Q) Can we install web edition in all window server ?
--> No we can not install web edition in all server.


Q) How to test our default website ?

1. Click start.
2. Select Administrative tools .
3. And now click on Internet Information Services IIS Manager.
4. Default container will show to you.
5. Now expand Local server .
6. And expand sites.
7. Now select Default web site.
8. Now from right hand side browse 80 http.
9. Or go to internet explorer and write your domain name in address bar or Ip & enter.

    NOTE :-- To open IIS manger with run command Type inetmgr and hit Enter.Q) How to create a website ?
--> Open any NTFS disk drive & create a folder with the name of "website".
 Make your Index page with help of HTML progarming.

* Now Creating Website :-

1. Expand your default server.
2. Now expand sites container.
3. Right click on the site container And add website.
4. Now Type a suitable site name .
5. Now it will as per physical patch select your website Continent folder.
6. And choice your IP and click OK.

   NOTE :-- It will give error (HTTP error 403.14 Forbids.) This error will be received When their is no first webpage add into the website.
