How to use GPM (Group Policy Management) for a particular
client.
It helps to restrict clients in offices, industrial place,
bank, scientist research etc.What happens if we use gpm for any department à
It can restrict clients computer features eg – he cant change desktop wallpaper,
can not install any software or uninstall it ,he can not restart computer ,
cannot use internet or any particular site for e.g. facebook, hiding taskbar
,cannot change time & date etc many of features available in window server 2008
r2 to restrict user not to use many of features.
Steps to use gpm for any organization are:-
3>New tab will open name it and click OK.
4> Simply after making this Organization unit hit OK /password/finish. And after this process make user in rahul (your organization unit)
5> After making user in your organization unit folder .open group policy to implement any type of restrictions.
6>Hit OK on group policy mangment. New tab will open.
8> After giving policy name/password/finish .(right click on your created GPO and select edit )
9>After editing expand some feature's. as given below.
10 > Now after selecting display . many options will show on right hand side.
11> Right click on any any option and first read explanation and enable it .you can enable many other options also like control panel hide , task bar ,start menu or explorer etc.
12> Note:- Dont use many setings enabled at a one time because gpupdate /force can not apply all changed settings to the client computer , select one or two program enabled at a time .So open RUN prompt to apply the condition forcefully , now simply write gpupdate /force (space before / ) & press enter.
13> Do this two or four time to update your policy on client computer.
